John Redmond Lake, Ramp by Dam
After a 23 hour drive we made it to the Kansas chapter to fish with 20 other
teams from around Kansas. For any one who has never fish on John Redmond
lake it is a very nice lake for big channel cats and the local guys say the
flatheads are there as well as a few blues. For us coming from Maryland to
fish it was great to meet everyone and put faces with names after two years
of updating the kansas web site. They anglers that was there are a great
group of anglers looking for a fun tournament and they run a great tournament
as well. Most all of them was open and willing to show us a few things about the
lake and to see we had a fun time there as well.

The tournament started at 7 am and just after that so did the wind
somewhere around 15 mph with guest over 30 at time. With the lake down
around 15 feet or so and the high winds the fish was very hard find. A few
team got back out of the wind in very shallow waters and find fish, others just
fished and had fun. If you eve get to visit the Kansas Chapter David and the
gang will do their best to see you enjoy your stay.
