Forget the big blues come and see if you can find the channel cats and that was harder than it sounded. Thanks to all who visited with us last night all 15 teams seemed to have fun. Finding the fish was easy , keeping the bluecats off the line was the hard part. It was a great night on the river with temps in the low 70's and light winds made for a good night of fishing. Most teams was on the fish all night just not the channels. Seems it would have been a great tournament for the blues as they was ready to feed hard. smaller bait and hooks to help catch the channels just didn't work out that way. The bluecats was bitting bait the size of a dime and hitting it like a runaway train at times. But a few nice fish showed up at the scales and it was great to run the channel cats around the lower potomac. 1st place was Tim Hagan / George Ostrom with 22.30 lbs winning $300.00 and also $300.00 for big fish of 10.30 lbs. 2nd place Thomas Canfield / Terry Canfield / D.J Hamrick 16.95 lbs taking home $188.00 3rd place Richard Pippin / Kyle House with 15.80 lbs and $113.00 Other teams was Jeff Fink Sr / Jeff Fink Jr 12.95 lbs Robert Gieger / Stephen Peppell 11.25 lbs Steve Baum / Paul Keats10.60 lbs Richard Cox / Paul Foltz 5.05 lbs James Tyler / Bryan Sirotkin 1.50 lbs Rob Wils / Rose Wills / Brain Rupp Michael Pippinger / Bobby Bartgis / Kevin Bartgis Sabin Rausch / Marty Scott / Mike Scott Cliff Wolfe / Steve Reed John Canfield / Chris Martin / Michael Canfield Robert May / Preston Carbough / Gus Beachan Allen Peterson / Justin Jobe / Dalton Jobe |
