With the forecast for server Thunderstorms, 9 teams showed up to fish Lake Anna. At Launch time (8:00PM) there
were 2 separate storms going over us. One to the left, and one to the right. We decided to delay the launch for 40
minutes because of the lighting. 45 minutes later, the skies cleared and off we went. Little did we know how bad it
would get. About 1 hour later the big one rolled in…..60 mph winds, hail, and driving wind made the conditions very
dangerous. Everyone went for cover, some under bridges, some back to their trucks, and some found cover in empty
boat houses on the lake. I am happy to say everyone weathered the storm for the next 1.5 hrs, and when the storm let
up, we all went to catching fish.
